Having provided case goods furniture for their executive suites 13 years ago, which have stood the test of time beautifully, Curtis Furniture were the obvious choice to develop two new sample rooms at Holiday Inn Brentford Lock.
We worked hard with the client to deconstruct their furniture designs, bringing our expertise to the table. As we are used to manufacturing at scale, we have built relationships with suppliers to source quality materials at low prices. We also use Alphacam technology to maximise efficient usage of materials and minimise waste. This meant we were able to recommend alternative materials and construction methods to achieve great results while reducing costs for our client.
We developed two schemes for this project. The guest room version is finished in oiled Kendal oak, while the executive scheme features a graphite Denver oak finish.
In both versions, wardrobes are complemented with white doors, the headboards have integrated bedside shelves, and there is a circular coffee table with two-tone edging. There is a triple acoustic panel unit to house the TV with metal tea shelf and minibar unit with curved edges and powder coated feet. The final item is a bathroom vanity unit on metal framework with a wooden shelf and stone top.
But the proof of the pudding is always in the eating. These designs are now being rolled out for a full refurbishment of the hotel’s 140 rooms, where we hope they will remain in service for another 13 brilliant years.
