We recently completed a significant renovation at the Hilton Leeds City, focusing on upgrading our guestrooms. Curtis played a pivotal role in this transformation by supplying high-quality case goods in collaboration with Bell & Swift.

AKP Scotland have been working with Curtis Furniture for the last 10 months on the refurbishment of the Marriott Glasgow Hotel. We have now completed over 200 rooms of this 300 room hotel. As with any large refurbishment in a trading hotel there have been many difficult challenges. I am pleased to say that the Curtis team have not only manufactured and installed high quality furniture, they have also shown us flexibility and on-site support. The team at Curtis were integral to the magnificent refurbishment of The Queens Hotel in Leeds. All the bedrooms were transformed plus 17 new added, bringing the room total to 232 including a Presidential Suite. Curtis’s designers helped to achieve the art-deco inspired interiors. Choosing Curtis offered huge advantages from the initial consultations and site visits, right though to delivery and installation."

The hotel's floor footprint resulted in various room types and configurations to accommodate the available space. To ensure the correct setup and components for each room, a master matrix was developed for Curtis to refer to. Each phase had a one-month timeframe, which Curtis had to manage efficiently to meet handover deadlines. Occasionally, the team had to work at a fast pace to accommodate additional joinery requested by the client. But the installation process was consistent throughout each phase to meet handover.

Curtis manufactured bespoke furniture for 60 bedrooms at the prestigious St Andrews’ Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa. The hotel remained open throughout its multi-million pound refurbishment which meant that Curtis had to ensure the manufacture process ran smoothly and on time. Curtis’s experience in delivering hotel refurbishment projects enabled us to complete the project on time ahead of the Open."

Curtis manufactured 312 rooms of high quality, bespoke bedroom furniture for The Tribe hotel. Communication was speedy and consistent, and the furniture received was of high quality and offered excellent value for money. Due to the scale of the project there were changes and issues which Curtis helped us to overcome. I look forward to working with Curtis on further projects in the future.

We worked with Curtis on the refurbishment of Hilton Glasgow. The 1st phase provided the challenge of three different room designs and the immovable target of the COP 26 UN Conference. Given the speed and quality of Phase 1, we had no hesitation in inviting them back to do the Phase 2 bedrooms a year later."

Curtis manufactured and installed the luxurious fittings and fixtures to an excellent standard.
