Bringing the Treehouse to Life
07 August 2025

When the Treehouse Hotel Manchester opened its doors, the press took notice—and so did we. We're incredibly proud to see our work highlighted as a key part of this unique hotel's design, which has been widely praised for its playful, nostalgic, and bespoke details.
Working in collaboration with 93 Feet and Starwood Hotels, Curtis had the exciting challenge of turning an imaginative vision into a tangible reality for all 224 guest rooms and suites. The result is a vibrant, design-led playground for grown-ups right in the heart of Manchester, and the press agrees that the details are what make it special.
From the distressed wood headboards to the ingenious swing-style bathroom vanities, our team handcrafted custom pieces that are anything but ordinary. We even engineered a rotating TV box from scratch, a testament to our commitment to turning ambitious ideas into functional and beautiful pieces of furniture.
What stands out in the coverage is the appreciation for the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Articles in publications like The Yorkshire Post, MSN and Design Insider have all highlighted the bespoke nature of the furniture. They've noted how we used a specific manufacturing process to ensure the distressed wood—bumps, knots, and all—was durable and safe for commercial use, a detail that speaks volumes about our dedication to both form and function. The articles also praised the ingenuity behind elements like the swing-style vanities and the rotating TV unit, showcasing how our team solved complex design challenges to bring this immersive vision to life.
This kind of press coverage is a huge honour for us. It validates the hard work of our team and the collaborative spirit that drives our projects. The Treehouse Hotel Manchester is more than just a place to stay; it's an experience rooted in thoughtful design and bespoke craftsmanship. We're thrilled that our work is a part of its story and that it's getting the recognition it deserves.
