Barton Minty have engaged Curtis Furniture on several hotel projects, across a wide variety of brands and locations. As with most large scale hotel refurbishment, all have had their own specific challenges. The team at Curtis were always able to find solutions, resulting in delivery and installation of long lasting furniture."

The hotel's floor footprint resulted in various room types and configurations to accommodate the available space. To ensure the correct setup and components for each room, a master matrix was developed for Curtis to refer to. Each phase had a one-month timeframe, which Curtis had to manage efficiently to meet handover deadlines. Occasionally, the team had to work at a fast pace to accommodate additional joinery requested by the client. But the installation process was consistent throughout each phase to meet handover.

To avoid the risks of shipping from outside the UK, we wanted to select a British Manufacturer, and Curtis are one of the few with the capacity to supply bespoke case goods for 1,000 rooms over a 12-month project. Our relationship with Curtis goes back over 20 years. We needed to choose an expert partner we could trust to turn around the room refurbishments in a timely manner and with minimal disruption, as the hotel remained fully operational throughout."

The team at Curtis were integral to the magnificent refurbishment of The Queens Hotel in Leeds. All the bedrooms were transformed plus 17 new added, bringing the room total to 232 including a Presidential Suite. Curtis’s designers helped to achieve the art-deco inspired interiors. Choosing Curtis offered huge advantages from the initial consultations and site visits, right though to delivery and installation."

Sharkey UK worked with Curtis on The Schloss Roxburghe to create the modern, elegant bedrooms in the new Estate House. Curtis manufactured and installed the luxurious fittings and fixtures to an excellent standard. The project was expertly managed from start to finish from design work to manufacture, with quick and easy communication which helped the project run smoothly. We have worked with Curtis on many projects and will continue to do so in the future."

We have worked with Curtis on many hotels and I am pleased to say that, yet again, they performed well on our latest project for Ember Locke in Kensington. They manufactured 120 kitchens for our project and were a great support in engineering and designing kitchens which worked across the many challenging room types in this beautiful period building. Curtis manufactured 312 rooms of high quality, bespoke bedroom furniture for The Tribe hotel. Communication was speedy and consistent, and the furniture received was of high quality and offered excellent value for money.
